Perched above the ridge, La Cabane de Gabrielle offers a magnificent view of the surrounding Ardennes ridges. A huge sofa will allow you to spend long evenings facing the view and the wood stove. Located on the first floor, the large bathroom is separated from the living room by a curved shutter, the wooden bathtub is nestled between two gnarled trunks.
Like a lighthouse, the room, which you will reach by a small staircase hidden in the shutter, dominates the valley of the Ourthe and its meanders. The view from the bed is breathtaking! La Cabane de Gabrielle also offers a Norwegian bath, placed on a rock overlooking the valley.

De cabana was precies wat we ervan hadden gehoopt: knus, mooi en privé. Het voelt alsof je alleen op de wereld bent, zonder enig geluid van andere cabanas. Het Noorse bad was een perfecte aanvulling en maakte ons verblijf heel ontspannen.
Opinions on accommodation
Het bed sliep heerlijk. Goed matras, zachte lakens en het uitzicht is adembenemend. En natuurlijk het Noorse bad.

Nous avons adoré le site, la cabane et le bain norvégien L'accueil est charmant. Nous sommes restés 5 jours en amoureux. Nous n'avons croisé quasi personne. L'ambiance est au calme et au repos. Nous ne sommes pas arrivés à rendre les clés à l'heure... Nous n'arrivions plus à partir !!
La route se fait entendre... Nous ne sommes pas perdus au milieu d'un pourtant si belle nature
Opinions on accommodation
Le bain norvégien, si vous avez la patience et le bon bois, vous allez profiter au maximum. Je n'arrivais plus à en sortir.
La kitchinette est limitée au minimum mais la cuisson de la viande se faisait au feu de bois à l'extérieur.
Le bois était humaide et j'étais content d'avoir apporté mes bûches de bois compressé pour assurer la chaleur et le lancement des BBQ et donner un coup de chaud au bain norvégien... De plus l'espace BBQ est très petit pour se mettre à deux autour du feu et profiter de la chaleur pour la soirée.

Waking up in the woods is priceless, as is having a multitude of hiking trails at your doorstep. The staff at reception was warm and welcoming. Truly a magical stay, and totally worth the hype.
Opinions on accommodation
The cabin is comfortable and so cozy you might not want to leave it (but you should, as the area is lovely and definitely worth exploring!). The privacy aspect was also much appreciated: there's a couple of other cabins nearby, but they are all hidden from direct view or facing away.
The Nordic bath takes a while to heat up (in our case, almost double the 2-3 hours we had anticipated, but that might be our fault since we're not exactly fire-making experts). No big deal - you can always take a regular old bath in the beautiful wooden bathtub looking out at the woods!

Comfy and cosy house. Well built. Nice view.
It was clean at first sight, but it could use a more thorough sweep as there was still a lot of dust around the cabin. We were unable to deactivate the heating. So we basically created our own sauna in the cabin. There were ants around the refrigerator, but an ant trap was in place.
